GDM International Services, which includes GeoDigital Mapping, was incorporated in 1991 and has been a prime contractor as well as a subcontractor for both large and small contracts. We have experience developing all layers for parcel and digital databases, of which hydrography, hypsography, man-made structures, vegetative and non-vegetative surfaces, transportation, and boundary layers, are examples. GDMIS was selected as the contractor of choice to photorevise the Hydrography layer for the innovative Texas StratMap program and subsequently to produce the 1:24K National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) statewide in Texas. GDMIS completed the photorevision of over 4,000 USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle sheet maps in two (2) years. In the follow-on NHD contract for the State of Texas, GDMIS has completed over 130 8-digit subbasins with a first-time acceptance rate better than 99%. All of this work has been reviewed and accepted by the State of Texas and the U.S. Geological Survey.

GDMIS’s professional staff offers a broad range of experience nationwide through our creative GIS solution centers. Our project managers have firsthand experience developing both cartographic maps (for California, Mississippi, and USACE) and cost effective GIS solutions for cities, counties, regional authorities, and state GIS clearinghouses such as in Georgia, California, Delaware, and Texas. GDMIS provides GIS applications and analyses services to numerous clients, including wetlands mapping, watershed assessment, carrying capacity analyses for land management activities, and assessment of point and nonpoint contamination for municipalities.

GDMIS has been producing digital data products for USGS under various contracts since 1991 and currently supports USGS as a subcontractor under the USGS Cartographic Services Contract II. Our DLG production system, refined through years of production, is capable of generating all DLG feature categories from both analog and digital sources with great efficiency. GDMIS employs high-resolution scanning of both black and white and color separates or, alternatively, can extract distinct features from scans of original topographic maps.

GDMIS prides itself on having developed cost-competitive technical solutions that meet the challenges of complex digital mapping and GIS projects. Over the years, GDMIS has received numerous commendations from USGS for both quality and on-time delivery, including three “Outstanding Performance and High Quality” awards. Fueled by the on-time delivery of high quality mapping and GIS products, GDMIS has grown conservatively over the last 12 years to an experienced geospatial solutions company. Our personnel are diligent and very innovative when challenged with each new contract and are the source of our success in obtaining repeat contracts from those for whom we have worked.
